JAC Rapid Rooms

Rapid Rooms is an alternative service from JAC Interiors which offers clients do-it-yourself custom-designed spaces for a reasonable fee. We offer this service to our clients who live either out of the State or are outside of our travel area and we cannot offer our traditional hands on approach. We craft the color schemes and choose furniture, fabrics, lighting and accessories. You do the leg-work to make the purchases and actively participate in the design installation at your own pace. Our design is complete in 30 days or less, guaranteed.

Rapid Rooms clients can live almost anywhere in the country. We don’t believe distance should be an obstacle to good design. Most correspondence can be done via email, skype, chat and text. Design resources are accessible locally or on-line.

What we need from you:

We need to get a sense of your style and needs. We ask Rapid Rooms clients several design-oriented questions, and request digital photos of the rooms you want designed, as well as photos of the exterior of your home. If you would like to use any existing furniture, send photos and measurements of each piece. We would love to receive tear sheets of your favorite interiors, colors you love and don’t, favorite fabric swatches, and photos of furniture you like. All of these things give us insight into what inspires you and helps shape your room. We may ask you to measure your room(we can walk you through this part to make it easy). Together, we will determine your design style (i.e. classic, modern, mid-century, eclectic, etc), and create a personalized master design plan.

What we do for you:

Once we receive all your information including an information sheet, images, inspiration elements, a floor plan and payment, you can expect design ideas in 30 days or less. If your project involves multiple rooms or an entire home, then we will develop an accurate, customized timeline. For each room, you will receive a Rapid Rooms box containing JAC Interiors’ master plan, which includes:

  • a personalized design concept board (using color images, magazine tears, sketches, etc.) to be used for design inspiration for the room
  • a detailed schematic furniture plan, drawn to scale, with specific furniture pieces selected and resourced, including suggestions of any re-use or revamp pieces
  • a book of specific fabric materials, samples of wallpaper and/or paint, flooring, tile, and hardware
  • a detailed shopping list of resources – both local and on-line – for all design elements
  • a step-by-step explanation of how to pull all the elements of the presentation together using this personalized plan, the client is free to follow our parameters as closely or as loosely as they want.
